Ground Zero

No, this isn't supposed to be a comment on the proposed mosque.

I doubt it'll be built. If it is built, I doubt it will remain standing for long. Either way, it's just another diversion the media uses on slow news days.

Back to the point:



The term "ground zero" had for decades been used to indicate the point of detonation of a nuclear device.



That all changed nine years ago.

We don't go around setting off nukes anymore. Still, folks must have hated to see that term go dormant, right? Now we misuse the term to describe the former site of the World Trade Center.

Unless there were nukes aboard those jets, calling the site "ground zero" is:

Idiotic!!!

Come up with something that makes more sense, morons!
